Description

The Crystals: The Planet Eater is the final tale for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It consists of three tales presented as a single DLC for WiiWare version of the game.

The second moon that has been causing much trouble finally comes closer to the blue planet and starts pouring down meteors. Some locations are destroyed and new monsters appear. In the course of this tale all protagonists (over twenty characters) will reunite and solve the mystery behind the Mysterious Girl and the second moon. Aside from the main task there's an optional collector's quest and several optional bosses. The whole blue planet (and later - the moon) are accessible for free exploration.

If the player has finished any of the previous tales for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years the characters from those tales can be imported to provide the advantage over the hordes of monsters and also for some unique items and events. Otherwise the player will start the tale with low-level playable characters and default equipment.

The Crystals was originally released as three separate tales for mobile phones. These tales are:

• Gathering Tale: The Moon's Gravity (Japanese title - Shūketsu Hen: Tsuki no Inryoku)
• Final Tale Part One: True Moon (Japanese title - Shūshō Zenpen: Shingetsu)
• Final Tale Part Two: Planet Eater (Japanese title - Shūshō Kōhen: Hoshikui)
