Description
Inspired by the popular "tower defense" genre, PixelJunk Monsters takes the simple real-time strategy concept of building, researching and base defending and presents it in a new style.Players must stop waves of enemies by placing defense towers around the path leading to their homebase. Enemies must be stopped before reaching the end of their pathway. Towers have distinct attributes, such as rapid fire, short distance, air defense, slowing abilities, etc. Destroyed enemies drop coins and jewels, which then can be used to research and build new towers and upgrades.
The game features 20 different stages for single and offline multiplayer co-op modes. Additionally, PixelJunk Monsters supports online leaderboards for both 1p and 2p co-op.
