UEFA Euro 2012 is the official game about the European soccer championship 2012 and a DLC (downloadable content) for FIFA Soccer 12. However, about half of the 53 national teams (including the hosts Poland and Ukraine) come without authentic athlete names.

The expansion offers two playing modes. First is of course the tournament itself which can be either played with the original or custom groups. All 53 national teams are available, but the qualification is not available. In the expedition mode, the player controls a team composed of athletes from different European nations - at first only reserve athletes from small soccer nations. With this team, one match after another is played against real national teams; of course the bigger nations are only unlocked after defeating the small nations. After each victory, the own team receives a randomly chosen athlete from the defeated team. However, how good the athlete is, depends on how often the player managed to defeat a nation: only after the third victory, an important athlete gets transferred.
