Please read this before emailing me
PhD Students at UW–Madison
If you are a PhD student at UW–Madison and are interested in working with me, please send me an email. If I don’t respond, feel free to follow up once.
Prospective PhD Students
I am not always able to respond individually to inquiries from students outside UW–Madison. However, you may apply to the PhD program in the Department of Computer Sciences and drop me an email after submitting your application.
Undergraduates
I prioritize working with students who have taken one of my classes. The best way to prepare is to take either CS861 (Machine Learning Theory) or CS639 (Game Theory). Students who have taken these courses will have a strong foundation to engage with research and projects in my group. If you haven’t taken these classes yet, consider enrolling in them before reaching out.
CS Minor Inquiries
For questions about the CS minor, please email gac-minor@cs.wisc.edu. I do not respond to minor-related questions sent directly to me. If you would like to discuss the minor in person, visit me during office hours for my current course, which you can find via the course webpage linked on my homepage.
