Overview: With the large number of Star League mechs actively involved in combat in the Periphery shortly before the fall of the Star League, it is no surprise that many GLT-3N Guillotines were able to be salvaged by the Taurian Defense Force once the SLDF left to fight Amaris. As the years grew to decades and the decades to centuries, the TDF found that it was unable to maintain these in their present form, and converted all of its Guillotines over to the more common GLT-4L version (which dispenses with the endo steel internal structure, some heat sinks, and the CASE system.) Now that Star League technology has become available once again, the TDF has commissioned Taurus Territorial Industries to set aside a portion of their Warhammer production lines on Taurus for an extensive refit of their Guillotines. This refit goes by the designation GLT-5TC Guillotine. Capabilities: The GLT-5TC Guillotine's most important modification is the conversion of the 22 single heat sinks to 12 double heat sinks. This frees ten tons for weapons systems upgrades. The GLT-4L's Large Laser is upgraded to an extended range PPC, and the four medium lasers to medium pulse lasers. The SRM-6 is moved into the right torso, and a second SRM-6 (with an additional ton of ammo) is added to the left torso. Finally, a ton of armor is removed and the remaining armor is converted to ferro-fibrous. The five extra points of armor this conversion gives are all added to the center torso, and the extra ton that this gives is used to add CASE systems to the side torsos.
