This is a proof-of-concept mech. It's designed to fight the Ti Ts'ang and other jumpy mechs, but it could probably do pretty well against other mechs too. TTK-55-L2 Ti Ts'ang Killer Tonnage: 55 Engine: 330 XL 12.5 Walk: 6 Run: 9 Jump: 6 IS: Endo Steel 3 2LL,2RL,5LA,5RA Cockpit: 3 Gyro: 4 JJ: 6 m.p.s 3 3LT,3RT HS: 11(22) 1 Armor: 185 (ff) 10.5 (allocate as desired) Weapons: Lg. Laser LA 5 ER Lg. Laser RA 5 MPL LA 2 MPL RA 2 2 MPL CT 4 No Hand or Lower Arm Actuators (arms are flippable) BV: 1351 Cost: 12,182,225 C-Bills This mech gives up 5 tons, 16 points of armor and a melee weapon to the Ti Ts'ang and gains better ranged firepower and better close-in firepower. The key to this is its pulse weaponry, which will give it the ability to hit its opponent even while jumping all over tarnation. Because of its ER Lg. Laser, the Ti Ts'ang will not be able to dance around in long range. Because of its flippable arms and heavy armor, outmaneuvering it isn't as bad. Because of its high movement rate, outmaneuvering it is not easy. The XL engine is a liability, but for fighting mechs like the Ti Ts'ang one-on-one, the extra movement may be needed. For times when it's not, the TTK-L2-2 version removes the XL engine, one jump jet, one dhs and half a ton of armor for a 275 standard engine, giving the mech 5/8/5 movement. When fighting in groups of mechs, this variant is preferred. (Actually, this variant greatly resembles a Lynx. How 'bout that.) The TTK also does well against other jumpy mechs, like the Wraith, Nightsky and Stealth. It can match their movement (or close enough to it) and exceed their firepower and armor.
