However, it's an advantage if you know the essentials of SQL programming and for specific chapters, familiarity with PHP, Perl, and Java will be useful.
Author Biography: Richard Stones is currently employed as a Systems Architect by GEHE, who are the UK's largest pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer, as well as the largest pharmaceutical wholesaler in both France and Germany, and active in many other European countries. Neil Matthew: As the Head of Software and Principal Engineer at Camtec Electronics in the 1980s, Neil Matthew programmed in C and C++ for real-time embedded systems. Since then he has worked on software development techniques and quality assurance, both as a consultant in communications software development with Scientific Generics and as a Systems Architect specialist with GEHE UK. Linux and other Open Source software like MySQL have played an increasing role in the work that he has undertaken over the years, from file servers, through Internet gateways to forming the platform for a distributed radio communications system.
