Document Oriented Databases and Text Processing

Overview

Seminar paper from the year 2014 in the subject Computer Science - Software, grade: 1,3, Technical University of Berlin, language: English, abstract: The exponential growth of data in recent years combined with the unrealised potential of weakly structured data provides a breeding ground for a lot of emerging database applications.

To clarify these phenomena, this paper aims to bridge the areas of document oriented data storage with information extraction technologies, especially considering declarative query logic.
It will also provide a brief historic background of today's database systems.
