M. Eng. Geomatics Engineering. Rj Zimmer is a registered professional land surveyor and geomatics consultant located in Helena, Montana. Mr. Zimmer has written for The American Surveyor magazine, the Surveying and Land Information Systems (SALIS) journal, and Professional Surveyor Magazine.

Mr. Zimmer has worked with the GCDB since the late 1990's for parcel mapping. He has used the GCDB to geo-register GIS data, and he has been involved with adjusting the GCDB and multiple PLSS based GIS datasets. Mr. Zimmer also developed strategies for automating GIS data adjustments to GCDB data.
