I have a job interview coming up in two days, and was looking for
something to jump-start my brain. I have been working with various JEE
pieces for the past 8-10 years, all for the same company, so I have some
idea of what JEE is, how most of it works, etc. Most of these questions
flew right over my head. Some just seemed plain wrong, like: Q: How is
an application server started in J2EE A: asadmin utility But, isn't that
vendor-specific? If I am not mistaken, asadmin is part of GlassFish,
but my old group was a JBoss shop until we ported to raw Tomcat. Also,
there are lots of typos. In one question, they use the phrase
"H2EE", obviously hitting the 'H' key next to the 'J' key.
What's worse, I can't even transfer to the iPad because the epub file is
DCMA-locked, at least not without installing the Nook software. Bottom
line, I'd pass on this book. Unfortunately, I don't see many other
options out there, other than working through the Oracle tutorials on
JEE 6.
