Meet the Author

Marianna E. Ivanova graduated from Moscow State University and finished residency in ophthalmology. She enrolled in fellowship at Prof. Puklin, Detroit Medical Center, MI, for refractive and vitreoretinal surgery. She is a member of ARVO and ISGEDR societies of researchers in ophthalmology and genetics in ophthalmology. She conducted research in cortical visual prosthesis and gained a PhD in 2010. Dr. Ivanova finished her MBA in the IT-healthcare field and has been a board member of the association of medical IT systems development in Russia. Since 2008 Dr. Ivanova is the CEO of Oftalmic Company, which focuses on genetic diagnostics of inherited eye disorders, patient follow up, and the application of personally effective treatment strategies.
