Overview

"Panta Rhei"-everything is in a state of flux. Schema evolution, data archival and data integration represent unsolved problems for traditional information systems that are further exacerbated in web information systems, and public scientific databases. In this book, we discuss recent advances in schema mapping theory and how they enabled us to build systems targeting very practical problems. We aim at bridging the growing bridge between academic research and the real-world.
