In the GoodReads blurb, it says, "Triptych, a Mechanical Romance Tongue-in-cheek love triangle spanning from New Jersey to Arizona!" Let me show my stupidity here. I was able to get this ebook for free way back in 2012. Yikes! And I'm sorry it took so long for me to get at it. But in my own defense: The title didn't grab me. That blurb line didn't grab me. So it kept falling down me 'read it' list. And now that I have read it I find I don't understand the title or that first line any better.

I really liked this story about Hannah, a smart and sassy woman struggling to make it in the male-dominated news paper world. Oh, and she's also trying to make her love life work. This is a breezy and fun read that really makes you root for the heroine. I'm gonna check out more stories by this author!
Here is how I am going to review this one. Would I pay $1.99 for it? Probaby not. I received a copy of this short story from the author in exchange for an honest view. While the story isn't terrible, we certainly didn't have any sort of amazing chemistry either. I didn't rush to finish it because it is exactly what it's advertised to be, a mechanical romance.

Unexpected and delightful …
Only Java Davis could write this unexpectedly refreshing tale with its unusual characters and make it seem plausible. With a protagonist who is smart and tough, vulnerable and feminine all rolled into one, and her two suitors—one a menacing looking biker with a heart of gold, the other a handsome, hard-drinking ladies’ man with irresistible charm—it would seem an impossible task to put it together without sounding trite, but Davis is equal to the feat and manages it wi ...more
