The book features an easy step-by-step tutorial on a Java EE application using CDI 1.0. It's worth to mention that inspite the book says that is about Weld, the application is not purely targeted for Weld only, that is, the resulting application can run in any other CDI 1.0 compliant container (OpenWebbeans, etc).
I definitely recommend this book for any newcomer in the CDI world and anyone wishing to learn more about the CDI specification with real examples. A must-have!
