ini semacam buklet untuk mengantar tentang daendels, suatu "terbitan sampingan" ketika penulisnya melakukan riset tentang perang jawa di seputar tahun-tahun pemunculan pangeran dipanagara. lumayan untuk member gambaran awal dari perang besar itu.

bukunya tipis saja, tidak ada 50 halaman. dan dihiasi banyak gambar karya-karya pelukis jawa raden saleh.
