I'm learning Java and am using a few textbooks concurrently to help me. This textbook left much to be desired compared to the others. Explanations of concepts were confusing and too brief for a first time learner. The book lacked detail, especially in the introduction to GUI programming section. This book will probably be more useful as a quick, simple reference for intermediate learners.
