"On Becoming a Dinosaur" is an intriguing and short memoir from author Java Davis that details how technological innovation has spoiled many of our artful pursuits, taking the "specialness" out of "specialty". I thrive on the other side of the coin: Technology has been a boon for me and I often tell people I was not smart until Google came along. However, there are many stories to tell regarding the innovations from the last 20 years, and this one is worth reading.

This short book is well written and I found it quite inspiring. The author obviously has a great sense of pride in her former role and an acute sense of loss at the closure of it. She is obviously a feisty, hardworking, independent woman and I love those kind of women! (I am one myself!)
I really enjoyed this short book and wish it had been longer. Java has other works available in fiction and I shall be checking these out too in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed ‘On Becoming a Dinosaur” and think it’s safe to say that in our rapidly changing world it would be hard to find an adult that can’t relate to the authors experience on some level.
