I managed to read this book during one afternoon. It's really good for first introduction of Liferay to newbies, but in my eyes doesn't provide much useful information for somebody little advanced with Liferay. If you want to find out Liferays out-of-box functions and how to configure them, read this. If you are looking for something more, then is maybe better to read official Liferay Administration Guide.
