Fun but short old school run and gun that adds some RPG elements to the mix and a lovely pixel art graphical style. If only it had been longer.

Frenetic action platformer excels with raging gameplay and with the ability to keep you in tension. The more you play, the more addictive the game is. [Issue#257]

Warlocks vs Shadows is a fun indie game that has a lot of variety to offer, but falls short in important areas like online capabilities and replay value.

With a good blend of difficulty and RPG elements then it has the possibility of becoming a classic game.

A side -scroller with mixed elements of gaming that casts enough of a spell to keep you playing.

After such a long period in the early access phase we expected more from the Warlocks vs Shadows release. It's still a decent action brawler, with a lot of characters and some neat ideas, but scarce content, weak level design, and a wobbly multiplayer experience ruin the final product.

The best thing you can say about Warlocks vs Shadows is that the game works (well, not in multiplayer) and it's free of technical errors. Tedious gameplay is too easy or too hard, and the character development system makes replaying the game an even more boring proposition.
