Puzzled, our hero surmises that his brother is in serious trouble and without hesitation hurries to rescue him. As the story unfolds, our Hero embarks an intrepid adventure across 4 alternative words; the Present Day, Middle Ages, Ancient Egypt and The Shadow Land where nothing is what it seems as you solve puzzles and battle Demons, Angels, Zombies, Mummies, Rats, Shadows and much, much worse.     This game rocks from the opening tutorial to the final credits. Visually, it’s more stunning than nearly anything that released last year and the spooky sounds and kickin’ soundtrack are second to none.

    While there’s something to be said for giving value for money, I’d have preferred a more tightly paced story; a good handful of levels are just making up the numbers, and Shade would have been so much better for a bit of trim.

    This game is so boring and annoying that I can’t force myself to play it anymore. Now I’m not going to say this is one of the worst games of the year (I think "Lords of the Realm III" deserves that honor), but as soon as this review is over I’m not going to play it anymore.

    Shade: Wrath of Angels, is not a good game. It's not a game that I would recommend to anyone. I would recommend Blade of Darkness or even the lackluster Rune, both of which are years old, over Shade in an instant.

    If Shade was scrapped and given yet another redesign, the to-do list would be endless - wishy-washy combat, braindead AI, insipid level design, soul-crushing puzzles, a towering stack of bugs.

    Really a superb game I loved it so much that I completed it in 1 day in my 5th try. I would recommend it to everyone. I have an advice "if you use cheats you will not be able to finish this game and start from the respective level(eg: Scales of maat, fields of piece etc). It's disappointing and tends to be boring. The combat system is very crappy. The enemy AI is silly (Are you injured? Just walk out that door! Enemies don't leave rooms, they just run around inside while you shoot them from the doorway). Has some pretty environments, pretty simple puzzles, very, very little tension and _no scares_. For a game that advertises itself as an adventure horror, it's not. Oh, and the voice acting is crappy, the plot is obvious, and the character is compelled to narrate the obvious. "This is a SECRET ROOM." This game has allowed me to more easily moderate my computer use.… Expand
