PC Gamer UKGet "Legion Arena" instead. [July 2007, p.88]
-
PC FormatThere is little new here that would make you choose this over the demonstrably superior games from Creative Assembly. [July 2007, p.72]
-
The battle graphics get the job done, but everything else is a wash. The game is simple to play and though it does try to complicate matters, does a poor job – which reveals the simplistic nature of this title.
-
PC GamerRome seems rushed and poorly realized. [Apr 2008, p.70]
-
Recycled edutainment and terrible production values make this RTS survey of Roman history stale and simple.
-
Great Battles of Rome = Epic Fail.
-
If you really want to learn more about the battles of Rome and to try your hand at recreating them, you're far, far better off simply renting a History Channel Special and picking up a copy of Rome: Total War.
