With its brilliant, well-thought-out design, Hearthstone is destined to become one of the best card games ever created. The expansion improves upon the impressive original card design and brings more strategies to the table. Any gamer, whether TCG fan or not, should appreciate the amazing work Blizzard has done.

The first expansion set for Hearthstone is a major step forward for the already accessible and fun game, and I hope to see even more variety as we move past Goblins vs Gnomes into the future of the digital card game.

Hearthstone still offers the unlikely kind of blend of strategy and accessibility that made it a hit, and now it's even better, with more fun interactions to take advantage of.

Most importantly of all, it's re-introduced a thoughtfulness to play that's been absent for too long. As the game settles down after the disruptive influx of new gadgets and gizmos, you sense there are plenty more remarkable inventions hiding in plain sight, but they're waiting for a curious mind to start tinkering with them.

Clever and well-balanced expansion, which didn’t break the original mechanics but revived them with several new packages and ideas. [Issue#249]

After the somehow disappointing Naxxramas, Blizzard is back at its trading card game, adding what makes the players' hearts beat faster: loads of cards. It does so with good balancing, and really expanding the strategy of the game, so if you love Hearthstone, this will always be a good choice to keep playing.

Still addictive, still entertaining. The first big set for Hearthstone hit the spot. Against all grim forecasts the massive amount of random cards didn’t hurt the game. Thanks to the GG expansion new game packs are created and the old ones are edited, which makes the game better and better.

I still wish they would put more time into balancing the cards and the heroes. This game will still be here 10 years from now, mark my word. Expand

This expansion just proves that Hearthstone is not a pay-to-win game. There are dozens of new cards very cheap to craft and easy to earn. Blizzard just proves once again how to make (fun) videogames.

But I have a problem with the game's card dealing algorithm. It's clearly bugged. I hope they will fix that, because if I draw three cards and mulligan all three only to get them all back, and have that situatian 3 matches in a row, it's clearly something bugged. If we were talking math, there's 30 cards in the deck. Drawing same three 6 times after reshuffling is almost impossible. Expand

It really decided to double down on the super aggressive games that quickly stale.

I predict that in a few weeks, a handful of the cards will take a massive nerf. or maybe a few months.
I'm pretty sure some of the cards are intentionally insane just to sell card packs.

Fun casual collectable card game that is free to play. It grew boring very quickly for me, and the game is really nothing special. There is aFun casual collectable card game that is free to play. It grew boring very quickly for me, and the game is really nothing special. There is a strong emphasis on random events. Even the cards have multiple instances of random events attached to them outside of the usual card draw that is seen in all CCGs. I recommend playing Magic The Gathering if you enjoy these sort of games because they put a much stronger emphasis on skill based actions rather than rolling the dice so often seen in this game. Before we had Ragnaros, Knife Juggler, Mad Bomber, Ysera and some other random things, but for me it appears that they want to make a fun random game instead of a well balanced game. There's 123 new cards, between neutral, class and non-collectible (spare parts for exemple). And there's 36 cards with some random in it. This makes so many matches being decided in a random event.

And one more problem in hearthstone is, it's a free to play game, but if you start now you'll have to play daily for months, to have a good base of cards to construct your deck and play in ladder. you take almost 3 months to get enough gold to buy 40 packs. It's just to slow, if you want to get your collection fast, you'll end up using more money than you would in wow, unless you do really well in arenas (another random stuff).
