The Witcher 3 is a game I judge with my heart, not with my brain. And my heart says Blood and Wine deserves the highest rating. [07/2016, p.46]

A living, breathing, Cezanne that will not hesitate to cover itself in blood, wink bitterly at you as it runs deeper down the rabbit hole and whose propensity to stun, mesmerize and redefine everything you thought you knew about the concept of “expansion packs”, will have a lasting impact upon the video game industry. Unforgettable.

An exquisite conclusion to a legendary saga, Blood and Wine concludes in a high note the notable efforts of CD Projekt RED and brings some of Sapkowski's most endearing characters to life.

Despite its low price tag, Blood and Wine is a substantial 30-hour expansion filled with memorable moments, tons of quests and a beautiful new world to explore. A must-buy.

The Witcher 3 was already an incredible title to begin with, and with Blood and Wine it becomes even better. The new region of Toussaint does not simply bring us more of what made the original game so great, it expands on it and offers an environment and a plot line that - in some areas - exceeds that of the main entry.

Blood and Wine is a gripping murder mystery set in a picturesque new locale, and a fitting end to the story of Geralt of Rivia.

Geralt deserves to be called a legend, of course, not least because he stars in one of the greatest role-playing games ever made. Perhaps we will join him in yet another adventure, but if Blood and Wine is the White Wolf’s final interactive appearance, he at least departs in style.

Beauclair the new area is huge, game mechanics and interface have been slightly refined. Great story.. and it's amazing to find key characters that accompanied Geralt in all the books.
If you have read all the books and played all the games, B&W will make you a bit sad, since it brings a true ending to the Witcher saga.

A few annoying things are still in the game, like clunky horse controls, some bugs and game difficulty non being challenging in the right way.

Besided that, it's a masterpiece and must have.

The land of Touissaint is absolutely packed to the brim with content and collectibles. The main story is about Vampires, and is also engaging. The new characters are just as engaging as the old ones ever were. If you get the chance to pick this bad boy up, take it. Expand

Rather than attempting to fix everything that made Witcher 3 the disappointment it was to discerning fans of wRPGs, it still has the base game's same serious pitfalls: 1) You still only progress through quests by "uzing ur witcher senses" 2) you still have almost no real impact on conversations (makes the BioWare dialog wheel seem quite robust by comparison) 3) you can still play the whole damned thing on autopilot without putting even a lick of thought into any of it.

So basically, if you want video games to continue to be dumbed down for the absolutely lowest common denominator, then by all means, buy TW3 and its "expansions," then create 10,000 sock accounts to make it seem like the paltry fanbase is actually a bustling metropolis of diverse clientele.

It seems to be working well enough on this site.
