Whoever finishes both campaigns gets to enjoy a bonus campaign in Yugoslavia. The story is more important to us in comparison to its predecessor. That's why we commissioned a world-famous author. We've built over 20 new units. The Italians now have the M13/40, the Carro Armato and the Semovente ATGs. The Allies, on the other hand, will have the M3 Grant/Lee, the Daimler Dingo and the Bofors 40mm Halftrack. An important feature is the various types of new buildings. It's possible in Phase Two to destroy parts of certain structures. For example, you can destroy only the watch towers of a palace. [CDV - Producer Interview Exerpts] Expand

If you enjoy your stories ripping and your RTSs simple but smart, Codename: Panzers Phase Two is probably for you.

A must-play for serious tacticians and World War II buffs. [Nov 2005, p.85]

In the end, the change of scenery is enough for me to want to play this game. If Phase Three does nothing but add even more missions in an entirely new theater, I'll still be first in line to buy it.
  4. It’s a wonderful game with a clichéd, though entertaining plot and some hefty system requirements. If you can meet the latter and don’t give a damn about the former then you will find plenty here to enjoy. Especially the tanks.

I wish there was more meat to it, but this title still comes well-recommended. [Sept 2005, p.110]
  6. The missions are challenging and detailed; there's combat aplenty; and the old paper-scissors-stone mechanic still works. But the action fails to really inspire any excitement. [PC Gamer UK]
  7. Computer Gaming World

Somewhat repetitive, but never so bat that it's offensive. [Nov 2005, p.99]
