About This Game

TERA is at the forefront of a new breed of MMO. With True Action Combat - aim, dodge, and time your attacks for intense and rewarding tactical combat. Add the deep social experience of a MMO to best-in-class action combat mechanics for a unique blend of both genres. Play now for free!

Experience an action MMO that goes beyond "point and click!" In TERA, it's your skill, position, timing, and aim that determine the outcome of combat—not how quickly you cycle through targets with the Tab key. If you prefer to lie down on your couch while playing games (we do!), you'll be happy to hear that TERA also offers controller support.

Team up with friends to take down Big Ass Monsters or put your combat skills to the test against other players in one of the many PvP battlegrounds TERA offers.

Customize your choice of seven character races and nine classes with unique battle styles. Fight thousands of monsters throughout a variety of landscapes, and embark on thousands of quests in a game world rich in history and lore.

In a truly free-to-play experience. TERA imposes no artificial cap on classes, zones, or what you can do, or how good you can be - all of the content in the game can be experienced without paying a single penny. To support the continued development of TERA, we offer account services and cosmetic items - costumes, accessories, weapon skins, mounts, and more. We heard players on Steam really like hats...

Whether you fight as part of a guild or join an alliance, being part of TERA's vibrant community means that there is always someone to share your journey with.

500+ hours before Steam. Very fun combat and classes. PvE is pretty solid with some cool bosses and mechanics, together with a pretty world. The PvP all feels like an after-thought that they just kept trying to build upon. The story and lore is definately forgettable but considering it's an action-MMORPG I don't think there's much competition in the genre. The game isn't the worst when it comes to optimization but it definately isn't the best, only people with higher end PCs could really enjoy this game.

The game originally started dying due to lack of "endgame" and became mainly full of niche weeaboo players. It thrives off fanservice and is a total money grab for them. For example all the new classes are for female characters, mainly elins (the "Loli" female-only race), as well as RNG cash boxes. However Steam definately helped grow the community, which means together with a very solid game I don't think it's going to be dying anytime soon. However I couldn't recommend this game to the general MMORPG audience but I could recommend this game if: you're a lolicon (or don't mind playing with the weeaboo/lolicon community), have an above average PC, you're interested in PvE while not caring too much for PvP, you love action games and MMORPGS.

This game is really easy to level but once reach level 65 is when the game really beggins, and then Tons of things to do, sadly tho i say its only more fun with a Guild or someone to play with.

First things first, I didn't play this game at steam, because whenever I start playing this game the Progress stuckup 0%, so I find the folder and run the launcher instead.

The environment in this game is colourful, nice graphic, looks detailed. The combat system is really cool, you can evade the attacks of the enemies and start using skills + combos but you need to manualy aim to hit coz it depend on where your character comfront(no aim helper), this make the game cool for me, because some RPG game you just cast skill + using combo and automatically hit enemy. The character costume/outfit is lovable, looks very cool.

sorry if my english is not that good

This game can be quite fun and enjoyable especially with friends. Some may consider it pay to win but if you are just focusing on the PVE part of this game, then it doesnt really matter. The only problem I have with this game is the amount of people that plays freaking Elin and the lack of monster models. A lot of monsters look the same or have some resemblance to other monsters. However, it is a free game so it's expected.

"TERA: The less you wear, the more you do"

A decent MMORPG overall, but by no means an original game. Besides the action combat system the game doesn't really do anything new, in fact the questing and story is very VERY generic and can get boring and repetitive real fast, however it is one of the better and more polished F2P MMORPGs currently on steam.

• Action combat - Pretty fluid and responsive movement.
• Open world - Non-instanced maps except for dungeons and story related instances.
• Traditional questing - Standard kill x, gather x, talk that dude quest system.
• Uninspiring armor/weapons - Or lack thereof? *cough*
• Solo friendly - You can reach max level without saying a single word.

If you don't mind action combat, don't mind generic solo-friendly questing, can spare the +20GB download, and like half-naked women riding on mounts, then I'd recommmend picking this game up on a rainy day, just make sure your mother doesn't see you.

TL;DR

7/10

I tried the game and it was fun but when I wanted to try new classes that looked more fun I was quite disappointed that 3 classes a purely female classes. If it would be race locked it would be alright but gender locked? At least create an equivalent for males! I think for this reason I may never play it again.

The sounds of combat in this game makes my ears bleed. Alot of the creatures are these metallic, odd as ♥♥♥♥, beings. So basically, all you hear is metal clanging every two seconds, your ears will bleed.. It'd be way cooler if I could actually play this game will less clangy and destructive audio. In-fact, I reccomend if you do play this game, mute combat audio, PERIOD.

Great game, Lots of Quests and great at making you lose track of time! [That is good] because time flies when you are having fun, right? I don't know, but I genuinely enjoy this game and would play the game over multiple times just to play all of the different classes. Over all, I would recommend anyone to go ahead and give it a try. It is worth waiting for the 30gb download for sure! 10/10

Tera is by far one of the best F2PMMO games I've played with the most potiential. The combat system is one it's best features but it also has a decent variety of classes and races to choose from. However, I wish there were more PvP options and better servers to keep a great game such as this one going.

I played this game since beta, played a bit here in steam, well i can say that now the game is really good, before the big update i would say it was pure crap, the only thing that was okay was the combat sistem, but right now the game is extremly fun and i would recomend to any casual or hardcore gamer.

Tera. Where to begin? When the game was initially released, it did a lot of things well. The combat system was rather innovative and offered something "new" to the gaming community. The character creation engine was nice, albeit somewhat typical. The crafting system was okay. It was just an "okay" game. Unfortunately, that kept it from being spectacular afterwards, due to the mother company bringing the game into the F2P spotlight. I strongly urge people to give it a try. However, be sure to know that the game world is very empty or is overrun by player killers. You won't be able to level beyond 20 without running into a few. The storyline is bland, at the very least. And you will need to group up for a few of your quests.

it's kinda boring. It lost my interest with all these repetitive kill x y z missions and fetch quests.
In other MMO's at least there's some sort well produced story to follow, but here it's just speech bubbles and occassional cutscenes with cheesy voice acting.
The combat can be fun, but unless you're fighting big bosses and stuff, it loses its draw pretty quickly when you're fighting your average mobs.

eh. 6.5/10
