This review is for people who think they would learn a lot about auto mechanic work from this game.
It's a game so you really can't mimic everything. This game shows you the basics of things like names of parts and the general places where parts go but thats about it. I've only play this game for 30 minutes and already its less of a simulator and more of a game like Cookie clicker. Just there to waste your time doing nothing.
These are the things that they just breeze by.
  • No one hand wrenches tire bolts lel. Atleast make the sound an air tool instead of a ratcheted tool noise.
  • They obviously just put in random prices with some of the jobs because an OBD test does not cost $300 ♥♥♥♥ing dollars if you spend $300 on a scan for your car you might aswell buy a scanner and do it yourself.
  • You shouldn't have to individually buy things. Brake pads come in a set of 4(2 for each side)
  • The second car you work on in campaign makes you change an oil filter, air filter, and a gas filter. Paper filters are not the only oil filter, there are can filters too. You also don't change only your oil filter unless its a defective part thats leaking oil. Other then that you get it with an oil change which is also the most basic thing you learn as a mechanic. You also rarely ever change a gas filter. (I've only done them twice in the past two years and both on Mercedes that have a common problem with them)
Refrences: I'm an auto mechanic.

I was hoping to learn more about repairing cars, but apparently you need to already know about how to repair real cars before you can spend your free-time pretending to work on virtual cars. Wish there was video tutorials, or guides, or tool tips or SOMETHING to help me learn all this mumbo jumbo. If I opened up my own 94 Ford Explorer, I wouldn't be able to tell you what an air filter is or where a fuel injector goes.

Fun game to fool around. But not that easy if you have no clue about cars. Like me...
I thought I would learn some new stuff about cars, and I actually did. But after your second repair you are left alone in the dark. No tutorial, no help, just fix this cars problem. I did fix a couple of cars. And I must say, I did enjoy searching for a solution. But it is hard to find the problems when you have no clue what to look for.
Overall it was an okay experience, and now I know what those scamming garagists do to my car when I bring em in.

One of the best games I have ever played, definitely recommend it for 60 cents and full price. It's so relaxing and just fun how you progress in the game.

Played this game for awhile now and im a pro at fixing cars!! The game is okay, the game is not the best but it does get really repetitive. It is fun but the missions do get boring.

Fairly decent simulator game where you role play a mechanic fixing issues with cars. Clients come in with requests ranging from checking tire pressure to full on engine block replacements or undercarriage repairs. It kinda works as a puzzle game, in that you need to know what is required to be done and what parts need removing to get to the parts needing a fix. Knowing this saves you time labouriously taking every removable piece of the car out.

Outside of the garage, you may be asked to test out how a car handles after you've done repairs. You get to drive the car in either third person or in-car view around a short test track. Controls are very basic but functional at least in getting the job done.

It really is nothing that special, but there isn't inherently wrong with it. It looks semi-decent, gameplay is relatively relaxing, there isn't any time limit pressure on completing objectives. I recommend doing it while listening to music or the radio. It's really one of those games that passes the time, nothing more.

Overall, it's just another basic simulator game, so easy to make as all you need to do is think of a mundane job/task and build a game around that. A load of them are an absolute joke (with Goat Simulator being the ultimate simulator joke - I think that was made to purely mock the banality of the genre). It's relatively fine gameplay-wise and at the end of the day, that's really all that matters. It also has a slight puzzle element to it as to try to locate the problem with a client's car and fix it. So I'd tentatively recommend it, even though the oversaturation of these mundane simulators is getting pretty ridiculous on Steam these days.

Spent 25 minutes trying to figure out how the game worked after the 3 second tutorial that teaches you how to walk and click.
10/10.

First of all, the graphics are aesthetically pleasing and are nice to look at and when you take that car out for a test drive, oh man!, its so fun but you might accidentally crash into a brick wall. But is missing a fair amount of content and depth.

Final Verdict is a stunning
7/10

I think this game is really good, the graphics are astounding and the gameplay is of the same quality, a really informative game althought it does seem to require the slightest bit of entry level mechanical knowledge, but even if you are lacking in that the game isn't too hard to pick up. Some things can be a bit iffy but overall the game is a 9/10 in my books
