Seems like it has been 3 years since I reviewed this game... Now I have got 2000+ hours in the game (and counting) And I can truly say I have played this game to pieces, not only have I became a melee "god" I have also acomplished many things within the community... Things include:

-Lead a succesful 90 man regiment
-Finish 4th in a regimental based tournament
-Taught English to many of my friends I have met along my journeys
-Participated in many melee tournaments and finished high-up

If you are looking for a game; to play singleplayer, this is your game.
If you are looking for a game; to play multiplayer, then you must consider a lot of things. Playing the multiplayer to join in public servers is a waste of time unless you are trying to get good at melee. Joining a clan is certainly the best option you could take, although I would reccommend the Napoleonic Wars DLC for that. The reason why I would ensure this is because you meet lots of people and take part in lots of community hosted events.

Ultimately, there is a lot to achieve in this game if you are willing to give it a go and the time that it deserves and needs.

10/10, seriously best game going around right now.

King Harlaus has gotten his ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥ kicked at the Battle of Uxkhal by a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ ant Rhodok barbarians fighting with nothing but sticks, long loaves of bread, and their own ♥♥♥♥.

After fleeing Vyincourd like the inbred cowardly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that he is, Harlaus then got his ♥♥♥♥ kicked in by King Graveth. The engagement lasted approvimately thirteen seconds and resulted in the entire collapse of the Swadian economy and the complete annihilation of its armed forces.

Reportedly, Harlaus made the classical strategic mistake of not doing a single intelligent thing and instead chose to take his entire cavalry force away from the battle to steal a few cooking pans from the Rhodoks camp while King Graveth tore his army apart. After witnessing his entire infantry and crossbowmen killed by a bunch of mountain savages in the middle of bum♥♥♥♥ nowhere, Harlaus ♥♥♥♥ his pants and fled the battlefield like a little girl.

as i get closer and closer to 3000 hours i have realised that buying this game was a mistake, I havent talked to my friends in over a year, my younger siblings are moving out of the house and i hardly move outside of my room and my father doesn't look at me. Apart from that it has good face customiser and a decent substitute for a real life with a very mature online community 6/10.

What are you waiting for? The game is not gonna buy itself! If you haven't played it yet you should definitely give it a try as it has one of the best combat systems in the gameworld and one of the most sophisticated multiplayers as well. If you haven't seen one naked guy wielding a sword winning against ten foes because of skill so far, then you are going to see it in this game as skill is everyhting needed to success, regardless of your equipment.

Mount & Blade: Warband is an amazing game, but I think the vanilla game is a bit too slow-paced even though that might be a good thing since realisticly no one can become a King or a Queen in a day.

I do like the native version of the game, but getting captured by bandits or deserters in the early game can be a real pain in the ♥♥♥ and the ammount of gold you get from missions can be quite small. Of course if you get enough renown you can become a vassal, but that just means you are working under a King who wont give you towns or castles untill you have a ton of renown. (And that can take alot of time, depressingly so.)

"Why did you give this game a thumps up then?"

Well, there IS a thing called cheats in the options before you start the game, so that's one way to make the game more enjoyable, but you won't be able to get any achievements.

I do personally perfer downloading a custom mod from the Workshop or the Mount & Blade: Warband Nexus.

My personal favourite mod from the Workshop is the Vexed Native Mod by Vechs. The mod basicly speeds up the training time of troops, gives you more gold and renown from missions and adds a few more practical options into town and castle menus.

In the end the Native version is a solid 8 for me, but adding cheats or a mod that helps you progress through the game faster ups it to a 10.

This game sucks... Sucks at being the best game there ever was.

Mount & Blade: Warband is the pinnacle of how games really should be, a game with a great single player, a great multiplayer, and even better DLC's. This game is truely, dare I say. The BEST game you could ever buy from the Steam store.

Mount & Blade: Warband, in the beginning, was in a 'Native' stage (Which is still awesome) where you go out on your own and go from a lowlife with no purpose or destiny to a freaking KING with hundred-man armies. Your job in the game is to progress and become the most powerful person in the game. And it's quite addicting once you get into it.
Mount & Blade: Warband also had multiplayer, which basically in it's name, allows you and other people to group up on a server and do whatever (besides campaign which I think would have been fantastic), which in my case, I thought it was the absolutely best thing about the game. You can get on a server and make friends while stabbing them in the face with your two-handed sword! Or. You can group up and perform a Siege, which basically one side defends the flag from the enemy team and one side tries to take control of it. Amazing.
Lastly in Mount & Blade: Warband, is the DLC's. I will say this with all my heart... I, have NEVER, had such an experience in one game, with the Napoleon Wars DLC. It not only brings in a WHOLE new set of gameplay with, muskets, new sets of forms by ranks, cannons, and much... MUCH more. It's only a Multiplayer kind of DLC (it has custom single-player battles but that sucks.) where you can get on and meet seriously awesome people and join different groups. I got this game my first day and went on Napoleon Wars, and I was almost instantly invited into a regiment (group) when I joined a server. And they had tournaments, 1v1's, HUGE line battles, and the big boy TNWL. I HIGHLY suggest if you're gonna get this game, get Napoleon Wars, it is a opportunity to new and exciting things you CANNOT miss out on.

BTW, shoutout to my fav regiment 32e, if you get the game and Napoleon Wars, join them, if you want to join, add me to your friends and I'll hook you up. It's amazing, I swear.

OVERALL... Mount & Blade: Warband is rated OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE for a reason. It is a game that doesn't cost much, unless you're young or don't have a job... But it's absolutely something you CANNOT, I REPEAT, CANNOT... Miss out on.

I rate this game a 1000000000000/1

Started out licking the Yhorks boots, worked my way up until I was given a keep to which I deserted the Yhorks, created my own kingdom and then proceeded to take over theirs through murdering every filthy Yhork Town, Keep and Military Band that dared to come close to me. Didn't think about anything but the fighting and didn't learn about the other mechanics like garrisoning units and giving them food for sieges. This was a mistake as I found out the hards way when the Nords came and ♥♥♥♥ing ransacked the borders of my great empire and proceeded to strip my precious land away piece by piece. I guess you could call it karma for being a two timing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The north remembers I guess? 10/10
