Howdy folks,
It is pretty amazing and rewarding for me as a solo developer that after over a year since the first appearance of UBERMOSH (Steam Early Access, that time) we still have a living community, streamers, youtube videos and reviews. So, with a runner mashup and new music tracks, made for this fine moshing community, I present you SWARMRIDERS, a free "machine gun swarm surfing minigame" featuring our heroine 200 years before UBERMOSH (and 400 years before BLACK). No swords. Time achievements... and probably 2 minutes of gameplay.
Thank you all.
Walter.

tldr; great game, easily worth the full price. Some wonkyness in terms of bullet spawn and hitboxes, but it's consistent and predictable with some practice, and fun from the start.

My take
If you consider yourself a twitch gamer, this gem will test your mettle. If you consider yourself patient, this game will cause you to re-evaluate. If you like a challenge, the achievements associated are a feather for your cap (especially Kensai CM).

This game has stones - big ones. And rage. And an awesome soundtrack.

Games last 90 seconds or less - if you're a winner it'll end at 90 seconds no matter what. Short, simple, video arcade runs are the only thing this game is; variations include random spawn, 4 class mods (CMs), 5 types of gun (sounds low but it's more than enough), and a couple of different maps (always random).

There is some predictability to enemy movement but they'll surprise you, too. A small visible area is a *feature* of the game designed to make it twitchy, but to compensate, bullets move slow enough that you can almost outrun them... but not quite. In other words, it's balanced.

VERY nice work, devs!

Pros:
~Controls are both simple and intuitive
~Game action is smooth and uniterrupted
~Excellent soundtrack, appropriate to game action
~Game has NEVER crashed or glitched in ~13 hours play

Cons:
~Some will find hitboxes glitchy, but it can be learned and compensated for
~Some will not like bullet spawn being in front of the gun, rather than enemy giving indication of firing
~Some will not like minor screen shake upon being hit by enemy fire
~Player cannot slide along walls, meaning, you can't move diagonally in the direction of a wall that you're already touching; you have to clear the wall first

***A note as to the "Cons" - having a dozen hours of playtime invested, I have found these things to be features, rather than negatives, because they are predictable and one can adjust play to compensate.

(Special thanks to Spookymcslave to providing this game. Thanks, man. :) )

You walk into the arena to hear the crowd cheering before you witness an army before you. Were they cheering for a mountain of bodies or your head on a pike?

UBERMOSH is an arcade-style arena game with minimal story and plug-and-play action with 4 playstyles to choose from and challenging achievements. Overall, it was pretty fun.

As stated before, UBERMOSH is by no means easy, but it is possible to complete within 90 minutes (about as long as it took me while watching the first presidential debate of 2016). Scoring high while overwhelmed in an arena that's almost danmaku-like can be quite a challenge, especially while more and more troops spawn in, firing their weapons at you (Hope you've been practicing your Touhou). The gameplay is said to randomly generate arenas too, though I'm not sure if they're truly random or if there's simply a library of arenas in which one pre-made arena is chosen. Either way, the randomized(?) arena gives this title more replayability.

The music to this game is awesome, the graphics look sweet, and the gameplay is solid, making this a positive experience even if the difficulty is ramped up. The girl on the title screen also isn't bad to look at either. (in my opinion, at least)

Now, the game is ordinarily priced at $2, but when it goes on sale, it only costs $0.50, which feels to be a fair price. I highly recommend grabbing this when it goes on sale.

8/10 A retro-style arena shooter that is worth your time. How many lives will you claim before yours is claimed as well?

Amazing bullet hell experience condensed into 90 second bursts. Soundtrack is an 11/10. Best $1 I've ever spent on Steam by a long shot.

Ubermosh is a fantastic indie game with a cyberpunk atmosfere that I've never seen in another game before. The story is that the colony provides everything, except for violence, and once you understand this the game becomes more cool than before. You go to the desert of Ultrakaar to get your dose of violence in 90 seconds, and try to get your best score in that time. The game is simple but hard to master, and the raw aspect of the game (no transitions between the menus, 256BPM soundtrack) make the game even more interesting.

It's a most for cyberpunk fans.

I absolutley love playing this game between queueing for matches, its killer music, fast paced gameplay, and scoring system make it great for quick breaks, and help warm my reflexs up with the bullet deflection technique.

UBERMOSH, an extremely simple, yet balls to the wall hard game with an amazing rocking soundtrack & a top-down view of the action. Story is simple & quick to the point, cyberpunk utopian future colony where violence, crime & poverty is a non-issue but violence is a “basic need”, so what better way to blow off much needed stress than dropping you in a hostile environment. That is basically it, you are armed with a sword, which you can use to deflect enemy bullets back at them or slice them. Guns are dropped by enemies, simply running over them picks them up. The guns are nothing special, each have their own bullet spread and there is a total of 5 different guns. The game has a simple premise, basically your difficult to survive horde/score attack type of game. You are given 90 seconds & 4 lives on the basic mode of play. There are 4 modes or class mods as the game call them: Kensai, limits you to only use your sword, Gunner only guns & Warlock, which gives you the “best” gun as well as the being able to use your sword. Your amount of lives varies between each mod. Gunplay is average serving more to thin the numbers rather than being your main method of attack, the sword being your main weapon & “shield”, with its ability to deflect bullets, against the onslaught. Despite the enemy bullets coming in hard & fast, they are brightly neon colored so you have a decent chance of being able to evade/deflect them.

Ubermosh can be played with both a mouse/kb & controller. It does not feature a graphical setting menus or any other menu for that matter. The game is extremely short considering it doesn’t really have story to tell & consists of nothing more than fighting the horde of enemies for 90 seconds or your death. There was a minor flaw involving the walls, in which having you move next to them it just stops your movement & gets you stuck to them which is an annoyance in such a fast paced game. No leaderboards as well, so you will have to resort to sharing score the old fashioned way. All in all, despite that minor flaw, it is a decent time waster with a pretty cool soundtrack that will have you head banging along to the beat as you slice & dice your way through the horde.

Sadly, i cannot recommed Ubermosh, as much as i wanted to.
When i first saw it, the thoughts of "its smash tv + cyberpunk, what could possibly go wrong?" crossed my mind; but wonky hitboxes, unprecise movements, gigantic bullets that are difficult to deflect/dodge and the complete lack of content makes this a game that should have been free on Newgrounds...and even then, its a 15 minutes curiosity at best.

I will have to praise the soundtrack at the very least.
