Honestly the best part of this game was the multiplayer mode. Once you beat the main story the only thing left to do is to play the multiplayer game mode since its the only way to develope your character after the main story. Once Steam puts in the multiplayer mode, than this game might get better reviews.

I had a blast playing this game back in the day. My first experience to the ARPG formula. One of the best aspects of this game, was playing with friends online. Square Enix, since getting the franchise had no problem spending money to put their name all over the game, but disabled multiplayer, one of the games best features. The couldn't bother to even patch it. Without the multiplayer function, a big part of the reason I have fond memories of this game, I can't recommend the game.

Why is this game ending stuck in an infinite loop? Because of this it can end. The original game (which I have) does not do this. It finishes properly. It also works fine in Legends of Aranna. I can't recommend this came to anyone because of this.

Doesn't work. I've tried literally everything, researching for hours on how to get this thing to work. The farthest I've gotten to is when you're about to gain control of the player, but then a "EXCEPTION DETECTED!" box shows up and the game crashes. I'm not the only one to have this problem, I actually found almost a dozen forums with people having the same problem. None of them have a solution that worked for me. You'll find a link in some of the other reviews down below. Tried everything in that, didn't work. Disabled Steam overlay, didn't work. Forced it to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP, didn't work. Tried screwing with screen resolutions, didn't work. I have no AV software installed, so that's not intefering. Pretty much tried everything I can think of, didn't work. This game doesn't work. I also bought it foolishly before it was on sale. Thank you Steam, for essentially making me throw seven dollars down the drain.

First of all, every RPG collector should have this on thier steam list :

Great old school RPG
Great Story
Spectacular Mechanics
Amazing Combat
Superb Customization w/ companions
Diverse Classes Specialisation

Howerver I will not Recommend this to anyone Due to the GAME HAS NO ENDING (steam version) other than that it's peachy!

this game pretty much sucks, maybe it was good once but it aged like ♥♥♥♥ lol

edit: here's a real critique of the game for crybaby nerds who take steam reviews seriously...... the first 1-2 hours of gameplay are unrewarding and uninteresting, playing a solo magic user is an unbelievable grind, and the combat is dull and slow. the camera controls are crap, the game ignores your controls and commands semi-frequently, which is annoying as hell. art design is bland, music is unimpressive, and the plot is incredibly dull and practically non-existent. the game did not age well.

I've got so many memories of this game, back when I was little we stumbled across it somehow & my brother I got addicted & modding it which back then was hard as well creating our own maps.

It's been a long time, but this game is still great thuough normal is to hard for me.

I don't normally like these types of games but this one is some how my favorite.

this game is absolutely fantastic! after I installed it I played it for nearly 9 hours non stop, the level of difficulty is quite challenging and the squared graphics brings back that good nostalgia feeling. super recommend!

obs.: the game wasn't working until I set all the graphic setting to the minimum. I thought it would make the game bad but it doesn't get in the way of the fun while playing at all ;)
