A slice of life story of a protagonist living with his two 'daughters'. The prologue felt like a rushed recap from a long-lasting TV series where you have already missed the first seven seasons. It gave me a really poor first impression and only made me confused. The feeling I had afterwards was 'thank you for your purchase, now lets just get this over with'. The storyline itself felt unoriginal and failed to create any special feelings in me.

I found the different art style a positive thing. The characters (except the protagonist) being fully voiced is also a plus. The music however left me with nothing to say. There are multiple endings and reaching one of them doesn't take even an hour. I learned that overally, with all endings, this visual novel lasts around a few hours. I ended up reaching a bad ending with an overly pervert girl locking the protagonist in a room where she could express her dirty mind. After that I was done with this novel.

A working Steam overlay should be a mandatory feature for any game released on Steam. I always find the lack of this feature extremely annoying. I somehow bugged it open twice but it resulted the whole window to freeze, forcing me to close the game.

Pros & Cons:
+ There is no R18 patch, thank God!
+ Art style was something different
+ voiced characters
- The novel has an unfinished, rushed feeling on it
- Relies too much on an overly used cuteness
- The storyline is unoriginal, tolerable at most
- Steam overlay not working

Summary:
A storyline that at most hits tolerable with an overall appearance that gives you an unfinished and rushed feeling. A horrible prologue that only leaves you confused. A story with nothing special or original, I'd pass unless you absolutely have to get every single VN to your library. If you're a die-hard fan of Nekopara, then this might be for you as both have similar elements.

I've only played it a while, but it has been decent so far.

Bought it only because of the voice actresses:
(Sakura Ayane & Uchida Maaya)

The animation is lacking but the voice acting makes up for the huge disappointment that the animation brings.

The art style follows the original light novel content, so that's good for any fans of the original work.

Pros:
- Main girls/characters are cute and humorous. (I couldn't help myself from going "aww" every few scenes.)
- Voice acting, as I said above, is very well done.
- Japanese voice acting. (Japanese or nothing!)
- Decent translation. (In my short time of playthrough, I didn't spot any mistakes.)
- Plenty of tsundere moments for those who like tsundere girls, AKA me.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cons:
- Animation. (A lack of budget doesn't mean you should only move mouths.)
- Some lines are very cheesy and awkward.
- Price. (The 2 reasons why I bought this was to support the voice actresses & catgirls duh.)
- Only 2 options for screen resizablity: Fullscreen(not 1080p) & Windowed.

Overall this game is a cuteness overload, but if you hate poor animation then maybe it's not for you

I would recommend this game but it should be a little bit cheaper.

7/10

Side note: If anyone wants a decent catgirl themed game, try Nekopara as well.

Developed by NovelEngine and published by Sekai Project onto steam. My Little Kitties is a short visual novel that is a heart-warming comedy of living with adorable kittens! You get to become a father of 2 kittens! Kittens that take the form of a human which are just adorable! It will last you around 3 hour of reading if you were to go for full completion of the game. [based on my reading speed]

The Story
Would you care to watch over the boy’s daily life with his new heartwarming family?

Bakeneko -Cats who shapeshift utilizing spiritual energy, due to being soul-bound to our world. The ghost of cats. (From World Research Company’s, “The Complete Works of Orient Ghosts”)

But, are bakenekos that scary…?
Losing his parents to a traffic accident, a boy lived his daily life in solitude until he began to take care of the stray kitten “Nuri”!
However, this kitten possessed strange powers similar to that of the bakeneko.
If that weren’t enough, he met “Yura,” who manages the existence of souls, and “Sora” from out of the blue. With a strange twist of fate, the boy will begin raising two children…
And from that day, the boy will start his hectic child raising life.

While the story may be light and fluffy with slice of life aspects. What I do not get is, Yura bad endings like how is getting locked up in a room with her and losing your virginity is a bad ending? Even the good ending feels a little vague, slight spoiler warning first, in Yura good ending Sora which ran away from home

Audio and Visual Elements
Visual Elements – For the visual aspects I think it is generally well done and the art style is unique well for me at the very least, since I am used to moege art style. As for the backgrounds they blended in with the whole visual novel. There is not much I could really say for the visual aspects of this game.

Audio elements – There is nothing really noteworthy for to talk about here other than the fact that the CV of Sora and Yura. Sora is voiced by Sakura Ayane and Yura is voiced by Maaya Uchida. So what so special about it? Well as a person who loves idols and seiyuu related stuffs, these are kind of important to me. Sakura Ayane has voiced characters like Cocoa Hato in Is the Order a Rabbit? and Nao Tomori in Charlotte while Maaya Uchida has voiced characters like Ranko Kanzaki from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls and Sharo Kirima from Is the Order a Rabbit? just to name a few. Well having these 2 is a plus for me for sure.

To sum up
Would I recommend My Little Kitties? I would say yes if you want a short heartwarming story that is cute and fluffy that has kittens though do note that some of the bad endings makes totally no sense at all and it feels extremely forced. Like I said at the top how is getting locked up in a room with Yura and losing your virginity is a bad ending? I really cannot grasp the logic behind this. Well just the bad endings only for most of the part of course you can choose to avoid them but then that would not be a full completion of the game. With that said I end my review here.

With around 4 1/2 hours finishing one ending of the game I can say it achieved what it set out to do, at least for me. I cared about the two girls and always thought how I would react in situations independent from the choices you can make in the game. I find the characters interesting even if they are little children and not overly deep.
As others noted in their reviews the voice acting is really good in my opinion. Listening to the two children warmed my heart even though I dont have children myself.
I play a lot of different visual novels and not every visual novel needs 18+ scenes. Something heartwarming like this little story is as good as some sexy scenes. Especially with the ending I got first, where I could totally understand the dilemma everybody felt even though it was the right decision to make.

Hopefully they add some cards so we can enjoy the art as backgrounds and smileys. =)

Cute story and characters. A lot of choices to make but most of them have little to no bearing on the story yet have hidden implications for the ending which is a little annoying since it forces you to follow a guide to see how to get all the endings (of which there are a bunch).

As for the story, it's a simple premise... You're Haru, a teenage guy who happens to have a stone inside him that attacts animals, you find a couple cats, they turn into girls, you raise them, etc, etc. As the story begins, your girls are very poorly attempting to hide a tiny kitten they found and adopted without your permission. You follow the daily life of these 4 plus Yura, a family friend with the hots for Haru who hangs around everyay.

The writing is decent but I did find some scenes got repetitive with Haru and one of the girls having a back-and-forth that went on a little too long but aside from those times, it's a pretty cute story with likable characters. I recommend this one.

A bad ending is getting laid.

In all seriousness, this is actually a nice visual novel. It's cute and funny, nothing too special but I really enjoyed it.

This game changed me. The person I was before I played this masterpiece can't even hold a candle to who I have become. The soul changing journey that this game takes you on will alter the way you see the world, it will free you of the mortal bonds of this world, this game will litterally make you immortal.
