About This Game

When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.
The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. Following Isaac on his journey players will find bizarre treasures that change Isaac’s form giving him super human abilities and enabling him to fight off droves of mysterious creatures, discover secrets and fight his way to safety.

It's rated mature in Germany for a reason; it's blasphemous but unless you're isaacs mom you won't be offended, it's perma-death so every heart counts adding difficulty, and the dark humor the game exhibits make it humorous when a crying child picks up absurd things from his mom and wears them to somehow get perks for his eternal tears

If you like a challenge this is the game for you. I have fully completed this game and I must say it can be pretty rage inducing at some points and luck determines a main part of how the game goes, but to win you do need to try pretty hard yourself too and overal the game is pretty balanced. If you buy the game you should buy the Wrath of the Lamb DLC with it since it is really worth it. It includes more items and bosses.
There is a remake of the game called The binding of Isaac: Rebirth (And Afterbirth DLC) and if you like this game I would also recommend Rebirth since it's mostly the same game but with even more horrors and challenges. This game does have one major addition called hard mode/ ethernal mode which adds even harder bosses and harder variations on existing monsters.

In conclusion, the game is pretty hard and if you like a chalenge you should consider buying this game especially if its on sale.

just buy rebirth, its better in every way.
