About This Game

Call of Duty® delivers the gritty realism and cinematic intensity of World War II's epic battlefield moments like never before - through the eyes of citizen soldiers and unsung heroes from an alliance of countries who together helped shape the course of modern history.

Play through the chaos of battle as part of a well-trained squad, that lays down covering fire and pulls its wounded to safety. In addition to authentic squad movements and tactics, each soldier's distinct personality and training comes out on the battlefield.

No one soldier or nation single-handedly won the war. For the first time, Call of Duty® captures the war from multiple perspectives, through the eyes of American, British and Russian soldiers. Battle through 24 missions spanning 4 interconnected historical campaigns. Take on mission objectives ranging from sabotage and all-out assault to stealth, vehicle combat and rescue. Authentic weapons, locations, vehicles and sounds of war all contribute to the realism, immersing you in the most intense World War II experience yet.

Buy this game; It just has so many great moments, like when you finally take Berlin at the end of the game, Charging through the Reichstag, a Soviet flag being waved by your comrades as Triumphant and glorious music plays - You feel like the entirety of the game has been leading up to this point, just as the entire world was leading up to that point in real life - You NEED to experience that for yourself. Buy this game.

Get this game on sale and play it for the paratroopercommando-centric British campaign, where you get to raid a dam, a battleship, and other cool strategic targets alongside Captain Price! These are some of the best singleplayer shooter missions I've ever played.
The American campaign is pretty solid as well, and the Russian campaign is okay. I haven't played the multiplayer.

Brings me back! Do you remember when Call of Duty felt unique? When Call of Duty wasn't looked down on and "laughed" at? When it wasn't the butt of the joke? pepperidge farm remembers, that's why we recommend that you play this classic maybe you'll remember too.

Call of Duty back when Call of Duty was more about the sheer sombre miracle of what World War Two was, and the extraordinary circumstances and incredible people that lived in that harsh time.

Call of Duty before it schizophrenically started to glorify and condemn war simultaneously. Back when your enemies were men serving their country the same way you did, before the enemy were random brown people with a vaugely nuclear threat.

Call of Duty before it was about how big badass USA saves the day, back when everyone was given respect and dignity in the annals of history.

Call of Duty back when it didn't need superficial moral choices, back when it was able to tell you war was hell in a subtle way.

This was my Counter-Strike growing up. I love this game. The amount of people still playing this is incredible. This Call of Duty will forever be the best one. Forget Modern Warfare. This is the best one. You have to play this game even if you hate call of duty. This is nothing like Modern Warfare.

10/10 toasts i will love cod 1 forever
