Opportunities
We are always interested in recruiting talented graduate students and post-docs who wish to study the most fascinating questions in evolutionary biology.
Bret accepts graduate students through the Genetics graduate training program .
Several funding opportunities exist for postdoctoral research. Bret is a trainer in two NIH training programs that offer postdoctoral fellowships: Genome Sciences (GSTP) and Computation and Informatics in Biology and Medicine (CIBM) . Bret is also happy to help draft proposals for external funding. Two especially relevant sources are the Ruth Kirstein NIH NRSA Program and the NSF Interdisciplinary Informatics Training Program .
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is currently available in the lab. The research focus will be the inference of evolutionary processes from genome-wide patterns of DNA polymorphism. For more information, see this advertisement .
