Opportunities

We are always interested in recruiting talented graduate students and post-docs who wish to study the most fascinating questions in evolutionary biology.

Several funding opportunities exist for postdoctoral research.  Bret is a trainer in two NIH training programs that offer postdoctoral fellowships: Genome Sciences (GSTP) <link> and Computation and Informatics in Biology and Medicine (CIBM) <link>.  Bret is also happy to help draft proposals for external funding.  Two especially relevant sources are the Ruth Kirstein NIH NRSA Program <link> and the NSF Interdisciplinary Informatics Training Program <link>.

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is currently available in the lab.  The research focus will be the inference of evolutionary processes from genome-wide patterns of DNA polymorphism.  For more information, see this advertisement <link>.
