- CS703: New Technologies and Opportunities for Program Optimization (Ras Bodik)
  Concurrent Garbage Collection Using Program Slices on Multithreaded Processors
  (Led to current thesis research).
Fall 1998 - Summer 2000
- member of Multifacet: designing better shared memory systems for modern multiprocessors
  Worked in initial simulation, evaluation and workload infrastructure, contributed to some publications.
Summer 1998
- Research Intern at Compaq WRL (formerly DEC, now HP) in the DCPI project, with Jeff Dean and Jennifer Anderson
  I worked on using ProfileMe (as implemented in the Alpha 21264) to analyze and optimize the SPECint95 benchmarks.
