Installed easily, lock works fine.

Locks are not keyed uniquely

Posted by: Hoopestr from San Antonio, TX on 03/17/2014I bought two of these at the same time. I expected them to have different keys, but they are both the same. Therefore anyone with a Kensington key can come and take your device. I recommend the locks with a combination over these.

great laptop lock for college students

Good alternative to combo lock

I have heard horror stories about those and with my business time is essential. Overall the lock works, but I have found myself having to jiggle to key at times to get it to work. One time it took me almost 5 minutes of messing with the key and lock, just to get it open.

Great Laptop Security Cable

Only need the key to unlock the unit. Lock mechanism appears to be well built and the multiple flex points make it non-binding. All in all, it's worth the money for your peace of mind and laptop security. Kudos to Kensington for a well built and easy to use product!

College Essential

There have been instances of laptops being stolen at my school and I am happy to know that it will not happen to me. It is efficient and very easy to install and use. I think it only took about 5 minutes to install, and the key makes it so easy to open when I need to move my laptop.
