It's memory

Posted by: antjenkins from Miami on 04/18/2014This DDR2 memory brought my Uncle's laptop up to it's top specs. While inspecting his laptop for another problem, I noticed severe thrashing and 90-100% memory usage with his stock 1GB, so this at least aleviated that problem. The laptop was a standard cheap Acer consumer grade machine, so it won't be putting the memory through it's paces or anything, but there hasn't really been any issue since installation (that wasn't Vista related, anyway).

fast fair friendly

They had one set of memory and it was on clearance...Yippie!!! One of the best deals I could have gotten. To top it off, they put the memory in right in front of me....Wow,Wow,Wow!! Great deal, great services...Speedy. Need I say more????? Thanks, Best Buy Geeks

Cheap upgrade to freshen laptop

Posted by: OfficeGaek from College Station, Texas on 02/21/2014I had an older laptop with the usual minimum RAM from the dealer. Seemed slower after a couple of years, but putting in the maximum possible RAM definitely increased it's speed. Best bang for the buck.

Great for older laptops

Posted by: Solidsteak from Denton, TX on 07/22/2013I have a Sony Vaio VGNR that i purchased new from Best Buy back in 08'. It still looks good and runs strong but i noticed recently some of the new programs that i run eat up more RAM so it was really bogging down the performance. The laptop came with two 512mb sticks to make 1GB, and i could only upgrade to 2GB so this was a perfect fit. It was shipped to me free in less than a week, got it and took me less than 5 minutes to install it, turned on my laptop and it recognized the full 2GBs right away. My laptop isn't bogging down anymore and i can run multiple programs now, start up happens a lot faster now to. I recommend this multiple stick version over a single stick with 2GBs in it cause you can take advantage of dual channel which makes it a little faster. Very easy to install, if you don't know how there are how to videos on youtube you can look up. If you are looking for a upgrade for your older laptop i highly recommend this product.
