Best Bag I have ever had, by far

I recommened to a friend, he purchased one and he has also been extremely happy with his purchase. If I could ever wear it out, I would buy another just like it. 5 Stars

Not so good.

Posted by: bill3527 from WI on 03/10/2009I have had the bag for about a year and it has served me well until recently. The elevator handle no longer extends fully so I either have to walk around "slunched" over or not use the extended handle. Since I carry so much in it, throwing it on my shoulder is not really an option. I am disappointed that this bag didn't last longer. It has a great layout and I can fit my laptop, projector and a large binder with ease. It was a treat at the airport since everything is so accessible, but the best layout and whatever else that is good about a bag goes out the window if you can't carry it around with it ease.

Great Bag, Handle Problems

I (used to) regularly travel and have taken this bag on many trips, international and otherwise, and it has worked fantastically. I no longer travel, but I still use the bag for bringing my laptop to and from work. A few days ago I started to pull up the handle and it stuck. The handle will no longer go above the first large telescoping section, which obviously does not do me much good. I can still use the carrying handle and really don't have very far to carry the bag, but for the money I paid, I want this bag to work properly! Luckily this bag has a lifetime warranty. I am contacting the company and hoping for the best. I have read some other posts on different sites about the company being very good about sending a new bag when the old one fails, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Even though the handle recently failed, this has been a fantastic bag...there have been several short trips I have made where this bag was all I needed due to its large capacity. Its also great because it will fit in the overhead bins of all but the smallest planes, and depending on how much stuff you put in it, it will probably fit in those too.

Excellent Guarantee

Posted by: from on 08/26/2008I feel for Paul76 and his experience, but Swiss Gear has an excellent guarantee. If one of their bags wears out, all you need to do is contact them through their website, and provide information on what went wrong. I had a backpack of theirs which had plastic pieces broken, and after sending them pictures of the damage, had a new backpack within the week. I'm a believer in them, they were wonderful to work with. Would far rather buy their product knowing how well they stand behind it than purchase others that may be less expensive up front, but don't support the product down the road.

This is a great buy!

Posted by: cwolfram from Houston, TX on 04/01/2008This is such a great bag! It has a lot of flexibility to be the only bag you take on a short trip or as your carry on in a longer trip. It has a removable over-the-shoulder "laptop only" carrier that is great to use when you get to your final destination (and don't want to lug the rolling bag to and from the hotel). I always get a lot of compliments when I'm toting it around my trips. I expect this bag to last for many, many years.
