Non-Tabular Sources
We will concentrate on tabular data sources, even though most web sites contain unstructured or semi-structured data.
- Increasingly, we believe, tabular data sources will become available.
- Even for semi-structured sources, often tabular summaries/wrappers exist or can easily be created, and form a good basis for querying a large collection of data objects.
- As XML gains in popularity, XML queries can be used to build wrappers easily!
