Assignment #1

Due Date: 02/23/2000

The proposal should be one to two pages in length, with a clear plan of attack on the problem. What are the first steps? What are the major stumbling blocks? How will you divide the work among your group? You need to be as specific as you can be, and include specific dates, and a list of software/hardware resources you will be using. After these are turned in, each group will need to meet with myself and the TA in order to discuss the projects, though of course you should feel free to come and talk to us before that date as you see fit.

What you are trying to solve/look into?
What is "research" versus what is just necessary grunt work?
What are the major accomplishments along the way (gives you a place to stand)?
When what will each milestone be finished?
