SCSIERR: Fault Injection for SCSI
Bret Martin and Sean Pieper
Abstract: We present the design and implementation of SCSIERR, a fault injection
mechanism for the Linux SCSI subsystem. SCSIERR provides a flexible
method to inject faults at the lowest level of the SCSI subsystem. This
is useful for studying the effects of faults on a file system. We find that
propagating errors through the SCSI subsystem would be useful in file systems
but that currently there is no support for making use of the richer errors
provided by SCSI.
