1962 Ford F250 odometer: 82000 fuel : gas transmission : manual title status : clean
82,000 actual miles... really!
223 ci inline 6 cyl engine
4 speed floor shift (1st gear is "super-low")
Posi-traction differential
New "old stock" front fenders
front and rear chrome bumpers
chrome 8 bolt wheels (16 1/2 inch) with stainless steel hub covers
31x10.5 R16.5 LT tires (the 33x12 tire just looked too big!)
interior completely redone with custom fit carpet, all dark gray
leather wrapped steering wheel (not a cheapie vinyl thingie)
all body work and paint job was professionally done. No back-yard body work.
stainless steel tail gate chains
all chrome, door handles, emblems, etc. are perfect, no pitting
rubber bed liner and tail gate liner
stored winters (most of the summers too)
Truck is all original except for the following:
Side mirrors (are Ford but newer then '62)
wheels and tires
interior - seat redone, new carpet and headliner
air cleaner
oil filter converted to "spin-on" filter
What this truck does NOT have:
no power steering
no power brakes (are original drum brakes)
no power anything
no air conditioning (not sure if was even available in '62)
gas mileage ain't great
no smooth, comfortable ride... rides like a truck!
Fun truck to own. You get a lot of "thumbs-up" from old car enthusiasts.
MSRA Back-to-the-50's car show qualified. (been there a few times)
I have used this truck to haul stuff so there are a few dings on the inside of the box. Box was not totally restored, just the outside.
Getting this truck to the Madison area is not a problem if you buy it! We'll figure something out!
