selling my 2000 jetta tdi.... Love this little car but I don't use it enough to justify having two vehicles.... this is my to and from work vehicle I have had it for the past two years and put a little over 30k miles on it.... hardly ever had any issues with the car I have replaced the breaks in the last year and a half car gets 43 mpg normal driving and 47 mpg doing 75 on the highway and at $3.70-$4.00 for diesel you do the math this car paid for itself with in the first year of having it starts every time even the 30 below days last year.... she is a tank.... car was strictly for getting me to and from work so the front seats are dirty but have no tears there is normal rust over the front rocker as every jetta of this era has I also installed a trailer hitch for pulling my canoe trailer which it pulled with super ease.
