2002 Lincoln Town Car odometer: 177 size : full-size type : sedan drive : rwd fuel : gas transmission : automatic title status : clean cylinders : 8 cylinders

Move on up to the King of the Road! You'll be living the dream as you float down the boulevard cushioned by the cloud-like air ride suspension. You won't even notice Wisconsin potholes any more. The air conditioning is ice cold, the heat is fierce, and the radio has a cassette player and a factory-installed six-CD changer. Tinted windows keep you looking good and feeling cool.

This darling is burgandy and chrome on the outside. Inside, she has faux woodgrain trim and tan leather seats all around with room enough for seven-footers in the front seats and six-footers in the back. Your entourage will appreciate the leg room. The trunk is big too -- it will fit six golf bags or the Green Bay Packers' offensive line. A trailer hitch rounds out this beast's hauling capacity -- Lincoln's time-tested 4.6 liter V8 engine and bulletproof transmission will haul more than most of today's dinky trucks and crossovers, and do it with style and comfort. Taxi cab drivers and high-end car services prefer Town Cars for good reasons: they're the biggest car on the market, they're comfortable, and they run forever.

This is no race car (the ride is soft, the steering velveteen, and the cornering less-than-tight), but the big engine puts plenty of power to the tires, which will squeal when you want them to. The tires are fairly new and their tread is still knee-deep. Active traction control and a long wheelbase keep this beauty tracking straight and true in the snow. This baby lived most of its life in Florida, so there's no rust from Wisconsin road salt.

As pretty as this sophisticated hot rod is, she's not perfect, and that's why she's priced so well. Her front left bumper scuffled with any icy snowbank at the end of a driveway and suffered some scars. Her rear passenger side window's tint is functional but funky. 95% of her buttons and switches work. She's been dinged by grocery carts and bruised by the garage door. Her idling voice has turned a bit raspy, but she runs strong and drives well. She still has both of her computer keys and both remote entry key fobs. The keypad entry on the driver's door is an extra bonus.

Just like in the old song, my wife says this beauty's got to go: "She said, 'Young man, you're going to drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop driving that hot rod Lincoln!'" Let's strike a deal. Cash is king.

E-mail or text to arrange a test drive. We're making appointments starting next Saturday.
