For 2014, the GMC Terrain has only minimal changes. There are 17-inch wheels standard on the SLE and SLT1 trim levels, 18-inch wheels are standard on the SLT2 and available on the SLE2 and SLT1. And you can now have the Terrain with the exterior painted in Silver Sky Metallic.

The 2013 GMC Terrain gets a bump in power from a new 3.6-liter V6 engine rated at 301 horsepower (replaces the previous 3.0-liter engine). Also new for 2013 is the Terrain Denali model, offering such exclusive options as Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The 2012 GMC Terrain receives an updated 2.4-liter engine that is now E85-compatible. Later in the model year GMC will make available IntelliLink, a service that allows customers to customize the touch-screen radio and use voice commands to operate various functions. IntelliLink uses USB and Bluetooth to connect the user's smart phone to the radio, making it possible to stream apps such as Pandora and Stitcher.
About GMC Terrain
The 2015 GMC Terrain is bigger than a compact SUV, but smaller than a midsize SUV. Its rugged exterior styling looks the part of the GMC family, even if its styling isn't everyone's idea of exterior beauty. The roomy interior offers luxury touches and room for five, as there's even a Denali model available. The available all-wheel drive (AWD) is perfect for inclement weather, and a choice of 4-cylinder and V6 engines offers good fuel economy or very good power, respectively. On the other hand, while the same size as the Kia Sorento, it doesn't offer a third row like the Kia. Additionally, it's not meant for off-road duty, despite the tough face. It also lags many of its competitors in cargo space.
