For 2012, the Jaguar XK series adds a new 550-horsepower XKR-S variant to the top of the roster. Changes to the base XK and sporty XKR include a restyled front end with revised headlights and LED running lights. Similarly, the interior receives a slight refresh, with upgraded materials and a rear backup camera as standard on every trim level.
For 2010, the Jaguar XKR receives wide-ranging improvements including a new engine and transmission, heated and cooled 16-way adjustable seats and subtle exterior tweaks. The XKR also offers JaguarDrive Selector, previously introduced on the XF Sedan, a rotary transmission shift knob that rises from the center console on startup.
Outside, the 2009 Jaguar XK gets a new Ultimate Black Metallic paint option, a Front Park Control system and power-folding side mirrors. The inside updates make the previously-optional 525-watt Premium Surround Sound System standard equipment, add SIRIUS Satellite Radio, a USB port, air-quality sensing auto-recirculation for the climate control and make Satin American Walnut veneers available.
Making a beautiful car is one thing. Making a powerful car is another. But combining the two and creating an icon? That's the rare magic Jaguar crafted with its XK sport coupe and convertible.
Both elegant and menacing, the 2015 Jaguar XK, XKR and XKR-S blend clean, simple and powerful design with the horsepower and performance to keep the promise. Packed with luxury and technology, there's no doubt you're behind the wheel of a car that competes in the same rarified air as others like the BMW 640i, or even the Porsche 911. If it strikes a chord with you, this is your last chance to act, as Jaguar will be discontinuing the XK after the current model year to make room for an all-new XK.
