I believe that a person is best judged by the company he/she keeps. So judge me by my friends...
Saranya
Saranya is an unbelievably peppy and superkool girl. Her unmatched attitude to life and cool approach was
what first drew me to her. What i remember most vividly about the time we spent together are the numerous
discussions we had ( technical and non-technical ) and the time we spent together outside the college canteen
livening up our college atmosphere(!!!) ( How is something I shall not tell you ...). She is currently pursuing
her PhD at SUNY, Buffalo in an attempt to become the "grandma of computer science" :). Btw, she is on the look out for the "grandpa of computer science" ...
Vidya
Quite the contrast of me and Saranya, she is quiet and serious ( or so I thought ) until
I realised her true potential :)) Just kidding. Anyway the three of us ( me, Saranya and Vidya) formed
an awesome threesome in college and still remain thick friends. Vidya is one person I could always rely on
and still rely on for good advice, support and help. Vidya is at the University of Utah pursuing Masters in Computer Science.
Vishal
Vishal has turned out to be my best friend here at University of Wisconsin-Madison. First I should say that he is really
brilliant and has amazed me more than once by his thought processes. And apart from that he is a really great person to
hang out with
and go bowling with (!!!). Getting more serious, he is one of the nicest people I have met in my life. He is now working in San Jose,
California after graduating with a Masters degree in Computer science from UW Madison.
Ravi
Ravi is one of those friends I got to know thru that phase of life called "apping to US universities". I used to bug him on a daily basis
about what I should and should'nt do ... He is a great guy with an unbelievable sense of humour, in fact the best I have seen till date ! He is now
working in San Jose, California after
completing his Masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin.
Anita
Aha! My roommate here in Madison. Me and Anita share a wonderful relationship.
She is a fun-loving girl, all set for "snow fights" and "air hockey". Her favorite phrase is
"hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..." :)))! What I like most of all about her is her readiness to help another person and enthusiasm for new things. ( Well I am the sort who is all enthusiastic while discussing something new
but when the moment of execution of a plan comes I chicken out owing to laziness :) ). She is pursuing her Masters degree in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at
UW Madison.
I am quite the geek, eh? All my friends are in the general area of Computer Science and Electronics. Well, well
not that I am not open to friends from other walks of life, it's just that I spend more time with geeks I guess!
Heh, heh!
