The former U.S. Republican presidential candidate and current senator, <person>John McCain</person>, will be visiting Sweden next week, according to the Swedish Ministry of Defense.

<person>McCain</person> is the chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, and it is in this capacity that he will be coming to Sweden, along with a delegation.

Sweden's Minister of Defense <person>Peter Hultqvist</person> (Social Democrat), among others, are scheduled to meet with <person>McCain</person> about Swedish-American defense cooperation, news agency TT reports.
