Jonathan Rosenbaum
Another giggly gross-out comedy for teenagers, this one somewhat better than most by virtue of a more satisfying ending.
Geoff Andrew
A crude piece of work, spottily acted and directed.
More likely to gross out adults than kids.
John Patterson
It takes almost 30 intolerably slack minutes to set it up and get it rolling.
Mick LaSalle
It casts actors who look plausible and treats sex with honesty and no apologies.
Liam Lacey
Adam Herz's script is wildly uneven but occasionally quite funny.

Paul Weitz, who never directed before; Chris Weitz - his brother - who never produced before; and Adam Herz, who never wrote a screenplay before, have cooked up two hilarious hours of impure pow.

Republicans favorite movie This movie is the absolute favorite of all dumb Republicans. Why? Because they are so wrong for America. Republicans do nothing but vote God. They hate America so much that they love seeing apple pie (a symbol of our wonderful nation) get fuc*ed on film. Movie isn't half bad though.
Awesome I love this series, and am anxiously awaiting the latest installment to come out on DVD as there are no theatres around.
love this movie i have seen it about 100 times and to me never gets old. i love it and would never think it was the directors first movie.
Classic. 5 crumbled pies Classic movie, funny and feel good at same time. A bit goofy, but it helps define it.

Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann star in this seriously funny unrated version of the film from writer-director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up). When famous comedian George Simmons (Sandler) is given a second chance at a new beginning, he and his assistant, a struggling comedian, Ira (Rogen), return to the places and people that matter most... including the stand-up spots that gave him his start and the girl that got away (Mann). Co-starring Jonah Hill, Eric Bana and Jason Schwartzman, it's the film critics cheer is "uproariously funny!" (Sonny Bunch, The Washington Times)

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who last teamed in the box-office smash Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, now star in Step Brothers, directed by Adam McKay (Talladega Nights). In Step Brothers, Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house. (c) 2008 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. and Beverly Blvd LLC. All Rights Reserved.
