The Great Lie, and fabrication of truth. The whole movie is a complete corruption of truth. Much like the disproved hockey stick graph, this movie presents lies and plays to the emotions to make its point. Gore is no scientist and has no understanding of the science he claims. Case in Point, the opening of clouds coming off a smoke stack. Problem? CO2 is a colorless gas. What is shown is water vapor.

Incisive If people think global warming is a myth then consider the increase in the past ten years in violent major hurricanes, or how tirnadoes are no longer inconvenientbut actually capable of destroying whole towns. For those who cling to some belief that the weather is controled by a super being, think outside the bible. For those who claim this film is a liberal propaganda film, are you of the belief that 2016 is an incisive documentary by a concerned director, or a film that is biased from the start. I am proud to say I bow to no- one.

Interesting in the 90s... Making the same exact claims for decades while not following your own advice makes Al Gore's movie, book, and speeches entertaining to watch, but void of much significance. There are much better sources for a "green" discussion than this. And much better reasons to justify caring for the Earth.

An inconveinant lie maybe Climate change is a reality, yes, but the impact humans have on the climate is NOT what the liars, ehrmm I mean politicians would have you believe it is. Unfortunately there are enough people that have 'drank the kool-aid' to make things like this seem credible when in fact they are gross exaggerations of the truth. For instance tell me why it is that we look at weather from periods where the earth was 20 degrees hotter, well before humans were around, yet somehow we become the culprits. Ice Core samples are historical evidence and proof that the climate is ALWAYS shifting or changing and not evidence that humans are the cause. If people want to clean the environment, why not show credible things like the smog in LA, or acid rain. Those phenomena can be attributed to being at least in part caused by humans, and there is actual and real evidence supporting it, unlike this hogwash.
Still can't reliably predict the weather. Meteorologists can't predict the weather accurately more than a week in advance, so how am I supposed to believe that a model that doesn't even account for the warm period before the industrial revolution is good for anything aside from scaring sheep and making millions from the government (because individuals aren't stupid enough to waste that much of their own money) for stuff that can't do the job. In the past 15 years, the global temperature has not increased. Google is so liberal it's disgusting.
Please. Just say no. Regardless of your stance on global warm....oops...climate change...anyways, this movie has many inaccuracies, is hosted by a hypocrite, and just plain bad. Read and/or watch "cool it" by Børn something or other. Much more accurate and not nearly as arrogant or naive.
What crap! You would.expect children to believe all the BS. I still cannot believe any adult would listen to the lies from Al Gore(leoni) and believe this crap. Hey sheeple, ask Al about his mansions and private jets and his carbon footprint, now that is an "inconvenient truth",hahaha. You fooled some gullible people Al, it is time to come clean. Can anyone say carbon exchange tax! Nice business racket and you tools will just pony up more money, just another gov'tal tax. Sort of like the ethanol lie for improved gas mileage and less pollution. Just another lie the govt uses to control the farming industry to produce x amount of corn and not as much other foods. The farmers are being subsidized to produce more corn at whose expense. Look at the price of the produce you buy at the store. Now that is a real correlation !

Ie believe its all propaganda Al Gore is part of the conspiracy having to do with the global warming. all the rich people want to have a one world rule where all the rich people will own the banks is a conspiracy all the rich people the Rockefellers etc, etc. they want control of the whole world all the rich people in the nation will rule all the World Banks. They will be in control of everything it'll be like we're all slaves .

For the Sheeple Not this crap again. Al Gore has made himself a very rich man selling this hysterical nonsense. Our SUN is the major factor in all climate scenarios. In Britain, they won't use this "documentary" in schools until the students have been educated as to the 11 gross inaccuracies contained within. In the 70's it was the global cooling hysteria, now the globalists want to knock the USA down a notch while robbing Americans blind with this scam. Gore needs to bulldoze his 4 energy hog mansions, and private jets if he really believes in "global warming".

Well made political statement, about which I have some rezervations We watched it when I was at highschool. The whole school, in a cinema. One needs to take the film for what it is, a statement in a highly politicized debate over an largely intangible issue. (The climate is defined as an average weather over 30 years. What can be more intangible than that.) The message is clearly formulated and the delivery is well paced and skillfully done. With the exception of the drowning bear part, which I think was quite an insult to the viewer's intelligence. The frog was great.

Pathetic The greatest hoax of modern World history. First it was Global Warming. Once that WAS debunked, the name had to be changed to "Climate Change" in order to remain "valid". Yeah, the climate changes here 4 times a year. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Al Gore is a freakin' moron, at best. His lying mouth, full of hot air, is the culprit for temporary warmness. One word: MONEY.

A good start on hugely important issue. Sad to see some of the other user reviews here--from people I'm assuming are not trained scientists--disputing not only the film but the distressing facts coming from decades of research from NASA climatologists, and scientists across the globe. It isn't just an Al Gore talking point; climate change (a more accurate term than "global warming" which clearly confuses some people as evident by a couple of the reviews here--that term first arose based on the fact that the temperatures of the planet's oceans have been steadily rising, which is just part of the story here). At any rate, back to the film, it's a testament to both Gore and the filmmaker that what is mostly power point presentation lectures (along with added photography, music and animation) can make this science story actually compelling. It's not perfect, it's not always gripping, but it's quite well made and, along with several other films on the topic, is a critical part of what I hope will be a fast awakening on the need for a change in energy policy and a decrease in dependence on fossil fuels. This isn't panicky "sheep" talk, this is science. Make this film a part of your education.

Great film. Horrible issue. Just on the spamming of one star ratings here; climate change is not a politically partisan issue. That there are so many anti-science, right-wing ideologues falling for the lines of big oil is sad. The people telling you that climate change is not real are making seriously big money from perpetuating it. You could not have a more vested interest if you tried. Believing them is the height of gullibility. Climate change is happening and it is scarier than hell.
Don't listen to the science deniers. All of the trolls spamming negative reviews believe in a conspiracy where over 98% of scientists are lying to us for no reason at all. Who do you believe? The tinfoil crowd that uses widely debunked science to support their claims or actual scientists who get educated in this field and make this their life's work? You can't just look out the window and see it snowing or narrow your focus to a few small parts of our environment and come up with the conclusion that there us no climate change. Just learn.
Bad science makes this a zero star flick I feel bad if you still believe this garbage after the current 16 year stable worldwide average temperature. But then you'll just say Al Gore said it was a temporary pause and we know he stands to make billions off carbon credits so he wouldn't lie. Seriously so many scientists say GW is a scam of bad science, peer pressure, and big money. But why follow the logic behind any of this bcuz al Gore invented the internet...

Excellent I absolutely LOVE the ignorance of the right wing. I would bet REAL money half the fat hams booo'ing this haven't seen it. It is not some internet-inventing dude's opinion. This is scientific FACT! Do some research somewhere other than Fox or the Christian Scientific Monitor and you will find that any scientist outside the sphere of influence of big oil all line up on one side of this issue: climate is changing for the worst and we are the catalyst for the change.

Groundbreaking filmmaker Andrew Rossi (Page One: Inside the New York Times) asks the critical question about the value of higher education, revealing how colleges have come to embrace a business model that often promotes expansion over quality learning. With escalating tuition rates and student-loan debt now over the one trillion dollar mark, the once-great American institution is at a breaking point. Ivory Tower explores the current education crisis from the halls of Harvard, to community colleges, to online learning, providing an astonishing look at the university landscape.
Turtle Power
In the spring of 1984, a strange new comic book sat beside cash registers in select shops, too big to fit in the racks, and too weird to ignore. Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles presented a completely original breed of super hero. It was too bizarre, too crazy. It broke all the rules and should never have worked. Until it sold out. Again and again and again. For thirty years. Now, peek under the shell and see how this so-called "happy accident" defied every naysayer to become one of the most popular and beloved franchises in the world.

Eleven-year-old New York City public school kids journey into the world of ballroom dancing and reveal pieces of themselves and their world along the way. Told from their candid, sometimes hilarious perspectives, these kids are transformed, from reluctant participants to determined competitors, from typical urban kids to "ladies and gentlemen," on their way to try to compete in the final citywide competition. Providing unique insight into the incredible cultural diversity that is New York City, this film profiles several kids from three schools (out of 60) at this dynamic age, when becoming that "cool" teenager vies for position with familiar innocence, while they learn the merengue, rumba, tango, the foxtrot and swing.

Chasing Ice
In the spring of 2005, acclaimed National Geographic photographer James Balog headed to the Arctic on a tricky assignment: to capture images to help tell the story of the Earth's changing climate. Even with a scientific upbringing, Balog had been a skeptic about climate change and a cynic about the nature of academic research. But that first trip north opened his eyes to the biggest story in human history. Chasing Ice is a feature documentary about one man's mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. Within months of that first trip to Iceland, Balog conceived the boldest expedition of his life: The Extreme Ice Survey. With a band of young adventurers in tow, Balog began deploying revolutionary time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic, by helicopter, canoe, and dogsled, to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers. Battling untested technology in subzero conditions, Balog finds himself at the end of his tether, risking both his career and his well-being. As the debate polarizes America and the intensity of natural disasters ramps up globally, he comes face to face with his own mortality. It takes years for him to see the fruits of his labor. But his hauntingly beautiful videos compress those years into seconds. His Extreme Ice Survey captures ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate. Chasing Ice depicts a heroic photojournalist doing everything in his power to deliver hope to our carbon-powered planet.
Into the Abyss
In his fascinating exploration of a triple homicide case in Conroe, Texas, master filmmaker Werner Herzog (Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Grizzly Man) probes the human psyche to explore why people kill—and why a state kills. In intimate conversations with those involved, including 28-year-old death row inmate Michael Perry (scheduled to die within eight days of appearing on-screen), Herzog achieves what he describes as "a gaze into the abyss of the human soul." Herzog's inquiries also extend to the families of the victims and perpetrators as well as a state executioner and pastor who've been with death row prisoners as they've taken their final breaths. As he's so often done before, Herzog's investigation unveils layers of humanity, making an enlightening trip out of ominous territory.
