Bilge Ebiri
There are holes in the plot, to be sure, but somehow we don't mind, because for all the unbearable tension of Jarecki's script, the central attraction here is the man in the arena.
Linda Barnard
A tight thriller that shows [its] handsome star in fine form as a morally bankrupt financier playing fast and loose with ethics and the law.
Geoff Pevere
Gere gets the role he has been suiting up for ever since he was first designer-dressed for a murder rap in American Gigolo.
David Denby
Part thriller, part character study, and it moves swiftly and confidently, with many details that feel exactly right.
Ben Sachs
This isn't very effective as a thriller, though it's a provocative fable about our ambivalent feelings toward financial elites.
James Berardinelli
The screenplay, written by first-time director Nicholas Jarecki, keeps us guessing, which is one of the best compliments one can pay to a movie of this sort.

Gere's very good at making Robert's compromises seem more human than horrid. He portrays the philanthropic, philandering patriarch with his customary twinkle.

Another Great Performance from Gere As a Private Equity Firm CEO, I should start with the caveat that the plot theme would obviously be of great interest to me! That said, this is a fantastic film, and while of course Hollywood takes its necessary liberties, it is a story that could absolutely be all too true here on Wall Street. But even for anyone who hasn't the first clue of what the Financial World is, the film is a tense thriller with a great ending. A must-see in my book.
Kept you at the edge of your seat Well acted, well written and vert relatable. The movie was so good. Need to watch
Unsatisfying end Great character development with some great acting specially Richard Geere, but the end leave you hanging
Drama how its suppose to be. Great story line to keep you involved.Funny how he refuses his wifes ultimatum even though he's a inch away out of hot water.Take the deal! Lol;loved it!
Great movie Here is just brilliant as a suave, smart, cynical Maddoffesque Wall St mogul trying to pull out a con. Must see.
Unexpectedly awesome Really entertaining Movie. Not expecting such high quality for straight to DVD movie.
Excellent movie I was stunned at the story telling throughout this movie. The characters actually seemed like tall people instead of the cookie cutter archetypes we see in most films.
Great movie Although the movie might seem to be slow I didn't actually feel bored at all and it kept us guessing what he's gonna do next. Enjoyed it so much.
Worth it Not qiute as intriguing as "Wallstreet" but it will keep your attention. Strong performance from Gere.
Arbitrage Richard Gere very good to have him back in film. Haven't did anything this good since Pretty Woman!! Love it!
